There have been five separate incidents of falling glass from a high-profile building on University Ave in Toronto this summer. Not to mention a number of other similar incidents in the city over the last few years. Professor Doug Perovic speaks to CityNews Toronto and explains why this might be happening – and what we could do about it.

Materials science and engineering professor Doug Perovic is a renowned expert in forensic engineering. He currently teaches the only forensic engineering course in Canada at the University of Toronto, where he challenges students to apply engineering design concepts to real-world problems – learning the tools they need for high-level sleuthing.
