Congratulations to Xinyi (Wendy) Tian, MSE MASc candidate, who won third prize Best Poster Award at the 58th annual Conference of Metallurgists (COM 2019).

COM2019 is the Annual Conference of Metallurgists and the premier event in Canada for the metallurgy and materials community. Metsoc, the 58th annual Conference of Metallurgists (COM 2019) and CIM were honoured to host Copper 2019, marking a milestone in the International Copper Conference Series with the 10th Edition. The success and outcome of the Copper Conference is the work of the six leading International Professional Societies (IIMCh, GDMB, MMIJ, TMS, SME, MetSoc) who tirelessly persevere in bringing forth symposia of the highest quality to the delegates. Approximately 60 posters participated this year.

Wendy is part of the Sustainable Mineral Processing Laboratory directed by Prof. Erin Bobicki.
