Vinoth Tharma is the Operations Manager at Nucleom Inc., a leading provider of inspection, testing and engineering solutions for the nuclear, petroleum, chemicals, mining, and manufacturing industries. Nucleom is headquartered in Quebec City, Quebec, with offices located throughout Canada, and involvement in projects worldwide.
Vinoth is responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the regional offices, in addition to being a technical lead within the Mechanical Integrity Services line. This includes business development and stakeholder management within his territory, support of the engineering division, and involvement of varying degrees on projects at customer sites – as a project manager, supervisor, or inspector.
Prior to joining Nucleom, Vinoth spent six years in various technical, project management, and leadership roles at major North American providers of inspection and engineering services. In those roles, he worked to shape or support asset integrity programs, developed procedures and programs, and conducted inspections/assessments to safeguard Client assets, personnel, and the environment.
Vinoth received his Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc.) in Materials Science and Engineering from U of T in 2013. He also received his Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Small Business during his time at the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the provinces of Ontario and Manitoba, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds several industry inspector certifications.
