On Sunday, May 25, our deparment hosted the Welcome to Engineering (W2E) event for prospective MSE students. Prof. Jane Howe gave an engaging presentation showcasing the unique opportunities within MSE.
A student panel featuring Barsam Rahimi, Audrey Piguet, Claire Gong-Miniere, Cathy Pang, Katherine Chun, and Lucas Roling shared insights about academics, campus life, and the supportive community. Postdoctoral fellow Thevika Balakumar and PhD Candidate, Masha Stanko, led guided tours of the 3D printing and OCCAM (Open Centre for the Characterized of Advanced Materials), respectively, giving attendees a firsthand look at cutting-edge research facilities.
