International Collaboration Brings KTH Students to the ASPiRE Lab

This winter, Guled Elmi and Jere Ranta fourth-year undergraduate students from KTH Royal Institute of Technology,  joined the ASPiRE Lab under the supervision of Prof. Ali Asgarian for their undergraduate thesis project titled “Seeing Inside the Caster: Flow Visualization in Steel Continuous Casting Mould.”

The project is part of an industrial collaboration with ArcelorMittal focused on developing a digital twin for steel continuous casting moulds, and is co-supervised with Dr. Sudhanshu Kuthe (KTH), with industrial advisory support from Dr. Joydeep Sengupta (ArcelorMittal).

We are excited about this growing international partnership and look forward to seeing more global collaborations within the department in the years ahead.
