Dr. Sriram Suryanarayan Joins as Adjunct Faculty

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Sriram Suryanarayan as an adjunct in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering. Dr. Sriram will advise on our nuclear initiatives and contribute his expertise to our programs and courses.

Dr. Sriram brings over 28 years of experience in the nuclear industry, spanning nuclear waste management, decommissioning, nuclear power plant chemistry, process development across the fuel cycle, Tritium abatement technologies, and polymeric materials for water treatment, bioprocessing, and controlled drug delivery. He has been recognized with awards including the Young Scientist Award from the Indian Council of Chemists and the Innovative Achievement Award and Education & Communication Award from the Canadian Nuclear Society.

As Director of Innovation at Kinectrics Inc., Dr. Sriram leads a broad innovation program covering artificial intelligence, advanced materials, augmented and mixed reality, novel inspection tools, nuclear fusion, waste management, and medical isotopes. Under his leadership, Kinectrics’ innovation and training initiatives have earned multiple accolades, including the 2024 CNS J.S. Hewitt Team Achievement Award, the IAEA-ISOP Award, and recognition for excellence in talent development from McMaster University, University of Waterloo, and the 2024 Canadian HR Awards.
